Butter
May 27, 2021
Butter was born in the middle of the night at Elgin Veterinary Hospital in Elgin, Texas. His mom, Molly, was our first rescue. Not knowing if this was her first foal or if she would have complications, we decided it would be best to be safe and have her stay at the vet hospital until she foaled out so she could have 24/7 care.
He looked like melted Butter (very yellow) which is how he got his name. Butter immediately nursed well and was a perfect foal.

Butter has grown so much! He’s ponying on Jugs, learning space and boundaries, walking on halter, and lunging.
Butter turned 2 years old in May and has started to walk with a saddle. First a pad, then a light English saddle, and now a heavier western saddle. He doesn’t seem phased by any of it.
